year in review meme (2008)

January: So, who made a New Year's resolution to get out that query letter?

February: In the new issue of Diamond Comic Distributors Previews catalog, which was released this week, there was ordering info for the first issue of the Dresden Files comic.

March: I'd say rest in peace, but I don't think your spirit is the type for resting.

April: On sale today: Jim Butcher's Small Favor, the 10th novel in the Dresden Files series!

May: Laura Anne Gilman's (AKA suricattus) Free Fall (Retrievers, Book 5) hits the shelves.

June: What would you do first? (and explain why in comments)

July: Now available: Elizabeth Bear's Ink and Steel

August: Why there were no query wars last week: I was at the RWA National conference.

September: Yesterday was the official release date for C.E. Murphy's Hands of Flame, as well as Anna Leonard's The Night Serpent, but since it was a holiday, I'm listing those today as well.

October: A teacher at a school in LA wants to raise enough money to have his class read Octavia Butler's PARABLE OF THE SOWER.

November: I don't talk about politics on this blog.

December: My client Alison Kent has organized a fundraiser event: For Jo Leigh, who lost her husband to cancer earlier this year.

Happy New Year!
